Doug's Birthday

I surprised Doug by making him a very appropriate cake for his birthday. It was butter pecan cake which tasted good with the coconut 'grass'. Now Carson is only talking about having a 'golf party' next year for his birthday!

Warming up in AZ

The high temps are here and that means a higher water bill! The boys (especially Charlie) certainly love the water.

Charlie finds it most fun to actually tackle the sprinkler-ball

"Want some?"

Yeah... there isn't a whole lot of water in the pool yet, Carson...

Carson (think he's having fun?)

Think HE'S having fun?

One day the boys decided they would have their snack on 'their rocks'. We recently moved those to the backyard and they sit and play on them all the time!

Too hot for shirts!
Wrestling in the backyard

Just chillin'

Tired

"My belly is bigger!"

They both like to play running races in the backyard

Sammie

The boys playing tug-of-war with the beagle

Carson & Charlie with Sammie

Silly faces! (even Sammie)

Carson finds her beagle howling amusing...
Mom & Dad not so much.

Howl!

Mom gave me a haircut!
What do you think Sammie is thinking?

Wagon rides!

And the unhappy side of Charlie

"My turn to pull you!"

Carson said he built me a house and I had to come take a picture of it.
He was very proud of building it all by himself!

Playing in 'their tree' and what Carson calls his clubhouse

Watching Dad mow the lawn with Sammie

Oh Boys!

If one has it, they both want it...
So, apparently they decided to ride it together

The boys watching the Cubbies

Daddy & Charlie

So big!

Charlie Monkey in the tree...

"What??? I'm not stuck?!"

Sammie... getting lots of gray hairs

The boys chasing Sammie

Red Oleander
Everything is blooming here

The front yard "project"
A few weeks ago we finally put in a walking path in our front yard.
Each of those "pieces" is a good 35 lbs.!
The "before" on the front of the house
And "after"!
I'm excited for the shrubs and bogenvias to grow up and fill in the area... that is if I keep them alive long enough.

New walking path and all new shrubs and flowers...

Carson helping plant the new red oleanders in the yard

Pink Oleanders on the side of our house.
I love when everything is in bloom!

Charlie absolutely loves basketball...
He doesn't mind at all that the hoop is way too tall. He will still stand there forever throwing the ball at it!

One of the new flowers in the front.
